What is The Sole Project ?
The Sole Project is on a mission to advance mental health awareness and support, especially in communities that need it most. Through education, resources, and community-driven initiatives, we’re breaking stigmas, providing direct support, and creating safe spaces for open conversations—one sole at a time.
Our Core Initiatives
✅ Step Forward Grants – Funding for mental health programs, therapy access, and community initiatives.
✅ Group or Sole Sessions – In-person and virtual mental health discussions with athletes, creatives, and mental health professionals.
✅ Kicks for Care – Donating sneakers to individuals in need, tied to mental health awareness campaigns.
✅ Mental Health Streetwear Collabs – Special releases where proceeds go directly to mental health support efforts.
✅ Take Care Hotline – A partnership with mental health professionals offering free or low-cost support.
Kicks for Care – Sneakers & Self-Expression
We provide sneakers to school-age students who demonstrate academic achievement, strong character, or personal growth. Nominated by school staff, these students not only receive fresh kicks but also engage in meaningful mental health conversations.
How It Works:
👟 Staff Nominations – Teachers and counselors nominate students for their resilience, kindness, or academic effort.
👟 Sneaker Rewards – Selected students receive a new pair of sneakers to start the school year strong or throughout the year.
Letter & Video Initiatives – Giving Students a Voice
Older Students (Middle & High School) – Letter Writing & Video Reflections
Encouraging students to share their thoughts on mental health through writing and video storytelling.
✏️ Prompts:
What does mental health mean to you?
How do you take care of your mind?
Why is talking about mental health important?
